Australian retailers discount TVs all year, but the deepest cuts arrive during the big sales. This page collects the newest TV deals posted by shoppers and checks them automatically every few hours, so you can see at a glance which OLED, QLED, Mini LED and LED models are on sale right now and where.
What to check before you buy
Model year. Last year’s model at a big discount is often better value than this year’s at full price.
Refresh rate and HDMI 2.1. Gamers should look for 120Hz or higher and HDMI 2.1 ports for PS5 and Xbox Series X.
Brightness. Bright rooms suit QLED and Mini LED; darker lounge rooms suit OLED.
Delivery and installation. Large TVs can attract delivery fees, so compare the total price, not just the sticker.
Price promises. Some electronics stores will match or beat a competitor’s advertised price on the same model; ask in store.
TV prices usually drop the most during Black Friday in late November, the Boxing Day sales and the EOFY sales in June. New models normally arrive between April and June, so the previous year's models are often discounted around that time too.
Which TV size should I buy?
Measure the distance from your couch to the screen. As a rough guide, a 55 inch TV suits a viewing distance of about 2 metres, a 65 inch about 2.5 metres and a 75 inch or larger about 3 metres or more.
What is the difference between OLED, QLED and Mini LED?
OLED pixels make their own light, giving perfect blacks and wide viewing angles. QLED and Mini LED TVs use a backlight, which can make them brighter and better suited to sunny rooms, often at a lower price per inch.
Where do these tv deals come from?
Deals are posted by the OzBargain shopping community and refreshed automatically every few hours. Prices and stock change quickly and some offers are limited to certain states, so always confirm the price with the retailer before you buy.
