Total Tools Catalogue: Power Tools and Trade Deals

Total Tools is a specialist tool retailer for tradies, builders and serious DIYers. Its catalogue and sales cover cordless power tools and battery kits, skin-only tools, hand tools and tool sets, tool storage, trolleys and workbenches, air tools and compressors, welding and metalwork gear, outdoor power equipment, safety gear and workwear. Stores carry the major professional brands, and staff are known for their trade knowledge.

When are the Total Tools sales?

Total Tools runs catalogue promotions regularly throughout the year, with major events around the end of financial year, Father’s Day, Black Friday and Christmas. Power tool brands also run their own promotions, such as bonus batteries or free tools with selected kits. Some stores run local in-store events, so deals can vary by location. This page tracks the latest Total Tools deals automatically and refreshes them every few hours.

Bonus Tools and Battery Promotions

Some of the best value at Total Tools comes from bonus offers rather than straight price cuts. A kit may include a free extra battery or a free skin-only tool, or spending above a set amount may give you bonus credit to use later. When comparing prices, work out the value of the bonus items too, especially if you already use that brand’s battery platform.

Tips for Saving at Total Tools

• Stick to one battery platform. Once you own batteries for one brand, buying skin-only tools during a sale is much cheaper than buying full kits.
• Watch EOFY sales. Many tradies buy new tools before 30 June, and the end of financial year sale is one of the biggest of the year.
• Check local store events. Some stores run their own bonus credit days, which can be worth more than the national catalogue offer.
• Ask about price matching. Specialist tool stores often compete closely on price, so it is worth asking in store.
• Compare tool prices. For the same tool kit, compare with Bunnings, Repco and Supercheap Auto.

About Total Tools

Total Tools began in the 1990s when a small group of tool store owners joined together, starting with eight stores. It has since grown into one of Australia’s biggest specialist tool retailers, with more than 100 stores across the country, many of them run by local independent owners. Total Tools is now part of Metcash, the Australian wholesale group that also supplies IGA supermarkets and the Mitre 10 hardware network.

Compare Tools and Hardware Catalogues

Before buying power tools, compare Total Tools with the Bunnings catalogue. For car and garage tools, also check Repco, Autobarn and Supercheap Auto, and for big-ticket items see the latest Costco and Amazon deals.
