Privacy Policy

This policy explains how Australia Catalogue (“we”) handles information when you visit australiacatalogue.com. We aim to follow the Australian Privacy Principles under the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth).

Information we collect

We do not ask you to create an account or submit personal details. Like most websites, our hosting provider and Cloudflare (our network and security provider) process technical data such as your IP address, browser type and the pages you request, in order to deliver and protect the site. These server logs are kept for a limited period.

Cookies, analytics and advertising

We use Google Analytics to understand how visitors use the site, and Google AdSense to show advertising. Google and its partners may use cookies or similar technologies to show ads based on your visits to this and other websites. Where required, a consent message lets you choose your cookie preferences; you can reopen it from “Cookie settings” in the footer.

Deals and third-party links

Deal listings are taken from the public OzBargain RSS feed and loaded on our server, so your browser does not contact OzBargain until you click a deal. Deal images are loaded from OzBargain’s image server. Links to retailers and OzBargain take you to third-party websites with their own privacy policies.

Your rights

You can ask what information we hold about you and ask us to correct it. If you are not satisfied with our response you can contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) at oaic.gov.au.
